Direction of Arrival Estimation for Smart Antennas

My final-year engineering project at the Lebanese University (Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer and Communications) focused on direction of arrival estimation for smart antennas in a multi-path environment — the problem of determining the directions from which several wavefronts arrive at an antenna array.

Smart antenna arrays and direction of arrival estimation are foundational to modern beamforming, massive MIMO, and the spatial processing used throughout 5G and satellite communication systems today.
